How to check a model for Roblox

  1. Export your model as GLB (glTF binary). In Blender: File > Export > glTF 2.0, format glTF Binary.
  2. Drop the file into the box above. It loads in the 3D viewer on your device; nothing is uploaded.
  3. Pick what it is (pet, egg, item, prop) so the report uses the right triangle and texture budget.
  4. Set the file units: Blender exports meters, Roblox-ready exports use 1 unit = 1 stud (1 stud = 28 cm).
  5. Fix whatever the report flags in red or amber, then import it in Studio with File > Import.

Questions

How many triangles can a Roblox mesh have?
Roblox allows up to 20,000 triangles per mesh. For a pet that follows players, aim for about 2,000 to 4,000; eggs about 1,500.
Why does my model import at the wrong size?
Most 3D tools export in meters, and 1 Roblox stud is 28 cm. Switch the file units to Meters here to see the size in studs, then scale the model in your 3D tool or set the import scale in Studio.
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The checker opens the file in your browser and reads it there. Close the tab and it is gone.
Can I check FBX or OBJ files?
This checker reads GLB only, since that is what browsers load. Export a GLB copy of your FBX or OBJ to check it; the triangle and texture numbers are the same.
